Snow Day

As the alarm goes off, I hear my little boy in the other room getting out of bed. I think about the weather forecast, anywhere from 1-12 inches depending on which one of the weather stations you listen to. I sit up to look out the window. Nothing not a single flake. I get up and start getting dressed, not even a min later I hear this huge gust of wind, I look out the window again and the snow is here just like that it blew in and attacked. It didn't take long for the road to be covered and for me to decide that the boy and I weren't goin anywhere. I can't believe how fast it's accumulating. It is continuing to cover every thing in sight. This storm is a little different than most, it's a thunder snow, at least that's what everyone keeps calling it, thunder, lightning and big puffy snow flakes.

Patrick decided to go to work and leave Gabe and I at home, which for anyone that knows him means that he took forever to get there due to pullin people up hills and such. I guess it's good as long as he's safe.

Gabe and I are having a lazy day. We did try to go outside got all dressed in snow suits and stuff but Gabe decided against it as soon as the tried to make a snowball, but at least he tried. So we have decided that some nice inside play in the heat of our cozy house is the way to go, some TV and some snow watching out the window.

We had a fun 4 day weekend and Gabe and I even shoveled the driveway.

Gabe is 4!!

Four years ago today, after 21 hours of labor, an amazing epidural and a c-section my baby boy was born!

Some of his favorites are:
Color: Red
Show: Scooby-Doo
Game: Skylanders

Weight: 37.5 lb
He can count to 20 and say his ABCs

Food options have come so far in the last year. We have found Mac n cheese that he can eat as we'll as some breads and a nut free version of peanut butter. I'm glad that the world is accommodating all the people with allergies there is a whole section of special foods to shop in at Hy-Vee which is awesome. He is starting to be able to eat atleast some of the meals that the rest of us eat!

Happy birthday sweet boy, Mommy loves you!

CRAZY WEEK

This week has been a whirlwind. Saturday and Sunday I did wedding stuff the girls and I went shopping for bridesmaid dresses. Mom and I went to the wedding gala and got info on all sorts of vendors I will need. Friday Patrick and I went to get tuxedos picked out so we know what everyone is going to wear and everyone can get fitted now. Since I went to the wedding gala we got discounts on all of them and Patrick gets his free. I was pretty stoked.

Monday means back to work and school. Work is crazy hectic! It's a new year which means its tax time, and all the deadline are at the same time!! Ahh. Quarterly reports, w2s, 1099s, organizers, sales tax, and I'm sure there is something I'm forgetting. It has been anything but quiet this week.

Abbi and I are trying to get into couponing again so hopefully that goes well, we have been out of it for so long. I would really like to save some extra money (and Patrick has been bugging the crap out of us, lol).

Patrick has gotten a membership at the arc recently, he's trying to loose some weight, and when we are kidless, which is one night a week, I go too. It's been kinda nice. I've been walking 2.5 miles. Walking doesn't seem like much but my body can totally feel the difference the next morning. Patrick tells me I'm out of shape(how rude) but it's kinda true. I do not work out at all. This gym thing could be good for both of us (but don't tell him I said that).

Oh and the awesome deal of the week: some Ariat boots Patrick found at Goodwill! They fit, they are in great shape and instead of the $150 you would pay at a boot store I paid, are y'all ready for this? $6 that's right I was felling pretty awesome after that.
