CHRISTMAS!! :D

It's almost hard to believe that 2010 is almost over and that Christmas has already come and gone. In less than two months my little boy will be Two years old. Time is just flying by so quickly.

Well I guess I should give you the overview of the last few days. which I thought was crazy for me, but my little boy has been busier than me and has been worn out (but at least it's because of all the fun he's been having).

On Christmas Eve he was with his daddy for a party over at his Nana's house. then he came home and we went to the Kite family Christmas party. When he woke up on Christmas morning we opened presents at home. Then we went to Mam-ma and Paw-pa's house. From there we went strait over to Granny and Papa's for the Bias Family Christmas. Gabe got about an hour and a half to relax and then his Daddy came over to take him to his house for one last party. Needless to say when he got home he was ready for bed.

It was all a great time, Gabe and I both had a wonderful Christmas. We got to spend time some much needed time with family, and of course got lots of presents.

My house is a disaster. I have slowly been working on putting away the new stuff and just cleaning the house in general, but it still looks like a tornado hit it. I guess that is to be expected after Christmas.

This weekend Patrick and I are going to a New Years Eve Party at Lauren & Greg's house in Salisbury. It should be a great time. I haven't seen them since Halloween and we are way overdue for a visit.

Here are some photo's from the Holiday :D

Christmas is Nearing

Well this week has been full of Christmas Parties.

On the 17th we had the Lunch bunch Christmas Party. It was at Connie's house. She went all out in the decorations! (Phyllis counted around 60 Santas). Jill made Lasagna which was yummy!! We did our little present exchange and had a great time.

On the 18th I went with Patrick to his work party for CCC. I met tons of new people and had a great time! I wasn't sure what to expect, there were tons of different personalities. The evenings started off with a strange discussion about the matrix and what happens if they have kids and how they have kids (I stayed out of that, it was all quite strange to me, lol) then we had "The best Tamales in town" for dinner! After which we went downstairs for a "Pool tournament" which just ended up being random people playing pool whenever they wanted, lol.

On the 21st I dragged Patrick to the Ashland party. My mom and Diane were sick and Abbi couldn't make it :( but over all it was fun. We still had 10 people there which is pretty good for Ashland. It's not like there are very many of us. Dinner was wonderful.

All three were lots of fun. I love the Christmas season!! :)

Moving On With Life

OK I wanted to update everyone on what is going on with Sean and I. So on Monday we went to a lawyer. It was a consultation so that we knew what we were getting into, with the divorce. They kinda just let us know how to go about it, whether we wanted to use a lawyer or not. so pretty much there is about 80 pages of  forms that we have to fill out, and agree upon completely. We also have to pay $192 for court costs. Wait a month go to trial and be done. So anyway we are just trying to get the paperwork done so we can both fully move on.

Sean and I are both trying to move on with our lives. He has obviously done so easier and quicker than I have. He and Cristy seem to be happy, which is good. I don't have to like his relationship but I am happy that he is happy none the less.

I have recently after about 4 months started to move on myself. I am done with the marriage. That has been pretty clear in my head for a month or two. I'm not gonna try anymore. All that ever did was make it worse. My plan in my head was quite simply to be single and enjoy the time with my son and just not worry about men, or any of their drama. This was my plan at least until the divorce was final, and possibly after that.

Obviously non of this was a final decision. I'm just trying to live life and see what it has for me. I had recently reconnected with a friend from high school, Patrick, who is oddly enough going thru the same thing I am. His wife had left him and they also have munchkins involved however they have two little boys. I am lucky enough to say that Sean and I are civil and are working things out as smooth as I think any divorce with kids involved can go. Patrick is not so lucky. Anyway he like I was planning on staying single and just getting everything going his way.

Like I said we have recently reconnected, over our mutual ickyness in life. He came over and fixed my computer :) YAY. So we then started to hang out some and he brought his boys over for a play date. Anyway, I totally see him differently then I ever did in high school. After hanging out for a while we just kind of decided that we are dating. I don't really know how to explain it, it was very unexpected, we were just friends that were there to comfort each other. Just someone to talk to. I don't really know what else to say about it, other than I'm happy. And I gotta tell you, I didn't know if that was gonna happen.

I was in a pretty bad place there for a while and just put on a happy face but now I can honestly say that my happy face is totally genuine. :) Sean and I are both happily moving on and I am amazed by how strangely easy it has been for me.

The only thing I worry about is Gabe and if the decisions we are making in the divorce are right for him and if we are both doing everything for him that we are supposed to. I do get frustrated with Sean over certain things that have to do with Gabe, but that is to be expected so hopefully we can handle this in the best way possible and have a happy baby boy.

I don't know if all of you will be OK with me moving on at this time, or think that I am going about things in the right way, but I do hope that you all can support me. Having your love and support means a lot to me. If you don't agree I guess you can just send me a message or something, but you have to understand that while I will listen to what you have to say this is my life and I am just trying to move on in the best way that I know how.

Christmas & Potatoes

OK, well we have made a full transition from Thanksgiving to Christmas :) I have put up my tree, Granny Bias' tree, the office tree, and my parents. Gabe is such a big boy and is already helpful handing the ornaments to you.

I have a few presents for Gabe. My favorite of which is his table and chairs. My little boy is getting big and I think he will love a table. He likes to color, just like his Mommy, so I bought him a coloring book and some crayons. We will of course use them at his table. I'm anxious to give him his table, I'm all excited. I haven't gotten it put together yet. I figure that's probably good cause if I did I probably wouldn't be able to wait.

We went to Aden's Birthday party on Saturday. It was at Bonkers, so we had a great time, but it wore me out. I'm glad we got to go :) I'm also glad I'm not in that maze anymore, sometimes I feel so old.

We had a scare last night, Gabe got a hold of a raw potato and put it in his mouth. His lips got all puffy but luckily Granny caught it before he could do anything other than just put it in his mouth. She gave him benadryl and he is all better now but his lips didn't go down back to normal until sometime early this morning. I'm glad that is over.

Thanksgiving

Ok well Gabe's Surgery got postponed again. This time it's because he was sick. He isn't going in until January 14th now.

We went to Cari Jo's Birthday party which was fun, It was really nice to see her it had been forever.

On Sunday we went to the holiday parade downtown. Gabe and I went with Abbi and Lorelai. It was Lorelai's first parade.

We have Big plans for thanksgiving this week. The Bias Family Thanksgiving is on Thursday for Lunch. Then Sean is gonna come over and spend the rest of the day with us, we are going to put up the tree and just have some family time. On Friday I'm going to put up Granny Bias' Tree. Then on Saturday is the Kite Family Thanksgiving. So by the end of it all I should be fat and happy.

School

Ok, I graduated from MACC with my AA degree in May. On October 30th I went to Columbia College for Preview Day, just to get a feel for the campus and see if that is what I want to do. I have since applied there. My plan is to go into business management at the moment. Since I don't really have an idea of what I want to do for sure I thought management would be a good place to start, and could probably help me with whatever I do. Anyway I hope to start in January taking evening classes. They are 8 week classes and I would only take one class at a time. I'm very busy and do have a wonderful little boy to come home to so I want to keep the amount of time I am at school and the amount of homework I have to a minimum. I haven't heard back yet about my application so we are just waiting, for now.

Homecomming and Halloween

So I'm a little behind on my blog. We are going to go back to homecoming. Gabe and I went to the Parade which was fun we sat on top of a parking garage and watched from above. He really enjoyed it. We also went to Shelter Gardens that same day and just walked around. It was just a nice day with my baby boy.

So on the 30th for Halloween I went to Lauren & Greg's party, and Sean had Gabe. They carved pumpkins. :D Then on Halloween night we went around and saw a few family members. Gabe isn't patient enough to go around and see very many people yet. He was a monkey just about the cutest one ever. :D
My baby Boy :D So Sweet

Separation :(

I figured it's about time to let everyone in on whats going on. Sean decided a couple months ago that he wasn't happy anymore and that he needed to be more on his own. About 1 month ago he moved in with his dad. This was all brought to my attention very suddenly and was very difficult for me at first. However Sean seems to be happier now. :( I am dealing with everything at my own slow pace. I'm doing OK with him at his dad's and I'm glad that he has his own room now :) We are not divorced yet, but I do see it in our future. I know that many of you are going to want to say awful things about him and that's fine but please keep it to your selves. I do still care a lot about Sean.

We are separating our money so that we can be more individuals. Now Sean does make more money than I do and I'm not sure if I can make it on my own or not. I do think it will be a little tight for awhile. He's not just dumping me on my own though he wouldn't do that. He offering to help me if I need a little extra money. We are splitting any Gabe related bills like his food or Doctor Appointments, and Sean is paying for his own car ins and Cell phone and stuff.

Gabe is living with me at home. Sean still watches him during the week while I am at work and on Sundays and anytime I might need him too. I don't want anyone to think that he is leaving Gabe because he's not. Sean is a very good daddy and would never do that.

I think that overall I am dealing with everything very well. Don't get me wrong I do have days where I break down but that's to be expected and other days when I am pissed off to high hell, but I really am doing OK. I just focus on Gabe he's my world and always has been. In all of this he is what matters and what gets me through the day.

Today is my parents 30th Anniversary. They went on vacation without me. I guess thats allowed from time to time ;) They are out getting massages and riding horses and just relaxing. Sounds good doesn't it?

A busy weekend and a new McDougal

Last weekend started early on Friday. I got off at noon, went to lunch and went shopping. I found a dress and off to Tony & Keri's wedding we went. It was at the Columbia Country Club. It was very beautiful. After the ceremony we went inside for the reception. Each of the Tables was a different city that the happy couple had traveled to. There was a suite case on each table decorated for that city, it was very cute. The biggest surprise of the night was Keri's sisters speech, she got Truman the tiger and 5 MU cheerleaders to come out and do the MIZ-ZOU cheer. If you couldn't guess they are Tony and Keri's favorite team. It was very cool.

Saturday was a very busy day. Sean & I found Gabe a Halloween costume. Then My mom and I took him to the corn maze. It was a good time we found 5 of the 8 checkpoints, and about that time Gabe fell asleep in the stroller.

We went back to my house and my mommy helped e clean. :) Which of course isn't very exciting but in this case it is because we got the office cleaned up and made some sense out of it. The room now looks like a REAL guest room. I'm so proud of it. :)

Abbi had her baby girl yesterday at 7:04pm. Lorelai Elizabeth McDougal was 7lbs 2oz & 20-3/4in long. she is very sweet.

Halloween

We picked out Gabe's Halloween Costume last weekend, isn't it cute. :D

The last couple of weeks

Hello everyone it's time to update you on the last two weeks. So two weekends ago was the family reunion. It was a fun time granted Sean's allergies were acting up and Gabe was hot and sleepy. My grandpa came. Its been really nice lately, he has been going to all of the parties. He hasn't done that in 10 years. It's really good to see him out and about.

Last week my car died, and then it died again, so I had buy a new battery.Which of course wasn't in the plan but I'm just glad that, that is all my car needed. :)

Last weekend Gabe stayed with Grandma and Grandpa while Mommy and Daddy went to Indianapolis, Indiana for UFC 119. It was a pretty good drive up there about 6 hours, but we had a good time. Our hotel room had a jacuzzi tub which was a great treat after the long trip in the car. Our seats were pretty high up but we had a great view of the octagon. By the time we got back to the hotel room I was worn out and had a GREAT nights sleep, which i think is my favorite part of any trip :)

Yesterday, I finally got a call from Gabe's doctor. He is going to have his surgery on November 12. It looks like everything is going to work out this time, so keep your fingers crossed. We have already talked to the Ins company and it looks like we are going to have to pay about $3000 of the $7000ish that it actually costs.

This weekend we are going to take Gabe shopping for his Halloween costume. I think he is going to be a monkey :) and then Gabe and I are going to go with Grandma to the corn maze. I'm looking forward to a fun weekend.

Scrapbooking

Ok so I went to hobby lobby yesterday and was completely surprised by the scrapbooking section. I had been there before, however at that time it only took up about 2.5 isles and now it takes up around 5. I was totally amazed by the number of stickers.

Now for my problem...I can't find what I'm looking for. Don't get me wrong it's a great selection and I know they group things by brand or whatever but wouldn't it be easier if all of the zoo stuff was together or if all of the princess stuff was together and so on. You know like they do with the birthday cards, for him, for her, funny, etc.

I also saw this "scrapbooking tote" that has compartments for everything which would be nice because right now I have all my stuff in a suitcase and it just has one big compartment and all my stuff gets jumbled around. My only problem is that it is $70, and you can buy a lot of stickers and paper with that money. We need a scrapbook store that's cheep for all of us poor people who love it :)

It's been a while since I have scrapbooked probably around 2003 so starting up again was tons of fun :) but as you get started again you find things that you need and being a mom its hard to find an hour to sit down and do it without anyone bothering you, and its even harder when you waste your hour buying what you need and not getting to sit down and actually scrapbook.

Oh well I am having fun doing a book for Gabe, he is getting so big and I feel like I need a page for everything in his life. I also have a Girl Scout book that I haven't finished and I'm also thinking about doing a book for Abbi with her baby shower, belly bump pictures and of course hospital pics of Lorelai.

Now to find the time. Wish me luck. :)

Baby shower, Sick, Chiefs and Words

Well the baby shower was great. I got there around 11:45 to set up and it started at 2:00. It was very cute & Abbi got lots of good stuff. I had her sit up on the stage to open her presents. She wasn't to thrilled about it but it was a good vantage point for everyone else. I of corse took losts of pictures. It wouldn't be me if I didn't. :)

I wasn't feeling well yesterday not sure what was going on. It must have been a 24 hour bug. I woke up and my nose was running, my eyes were itchy, and watering, I had a sore throat, and eating made my tummy feel awful. Anyway I'm glad to say that I woke up feeling much better.

Last night was the first Chiefs game and we won!! This must be a good sign for the rest of the season, at least I hope so. Cross your fingers! :)

I have a little parrot in my house now, my little boy pretty much repeats everything from "water" to "boop" to "thank you" pretty much anything he can figure our how to say.

One more week

Ok well we got the Axiom fixed today but we just picked it up so there wasn't enough time to get the license renewed. That will be my project for Monday. I'm glad that this will be done soon :)

We went to Cristy's Birthday party last weekend and had lots of fun.

I'm getting very excited about this weekend, I couldn't be happier that its Friday. Abbi's Baby Shower is this weekend and should be lots of fun.

Scrapbooking and Impatiently Waiting

Well my new ins is in effect. I sent in the card to the lady for Gabe's surgery and now its just a waiting game to see if we have to be pre-approved. At that point we can schedule the appointment, hopefully it will be some time soon.

I also tried to get life ins for Gabe but of course we cant get it until after his surgery. UGH

On Saturday the girls came over and we scrapbooked I had lots of fun and continued to scrapbook for an hour or two after they left. I cant wait till we can do it again in the mean time I have to print out more pictures. I'm thinking a bath time page and a zoo page and we will have to see what else I can come up with. :)

For the rest of this month we are very busy. We work all the time and we have something planned every weekend. Granted I expect all of it to be fun, but very hectic trying to keep everything strait.

Axiom

I noticed about the 10th of this month that the Axiom's license was expired, at the end of July *Crap* Anyway I have since had it inspected and of course it didn't pass. The turn signal handle is broken and doesn't turn on the "brights" even though it does do everything else. We have been trying to aquire a part since then. We have officially ordered it today, however it is going to take 5 days to come in which of course means it wont be until Sept until I can get it put in and get my license renewed.

2 months of late fees $10
Renewal for 2 years $50
Inspection $12
Part $250
Instilation $80
_____
$402

Being done with this process = Priceless

Vampires and Thunderstorms

Well Gabe had his 18 month check up on Tuesday. He is 30in tall and 24lbs. Everything went well at the appointment. He is teething still, he never got his molars in so we are still working on those and he has some more that are trying to come in as well. He had a fever on Monday night but luckily we got rid of it before the doctors appointment.

So on Wednesday Sean decided that I had to go see Vampires Suck. He decided that because I have made him go see all of the Twilight movies that he got to put me through that. Oh and by the way it lives up to all other spoof movies and sucked. It did have a few funny moments but oh my god seriously.

On Friday we were going to have a girls night and I went out with Kirstin for her b-day :). I only got to stay out till about 8:30 when all of the storming got really bad and my power went out. Our A/C went out in the BIG storm and I guess it fried the circut board. We had to live in the heat all weekend and the A/C guy came and fixed it this morning :)

So here is to a good week of nice cool air :)

Another Week and a Growing Boy

Well it's going to be another busy weekend at the apartments, we are having turnovers again but luckily we only have around 10 this weekend instead of 30 like last time. The last week has been pretty quiet at home and the office, so I guess that it was only time for it to be busy again.

Yesterday was my baby boys 18 month birthday. He is getting so big. It seems like he learns how to say something new everyday. The first thing he does when I get home is walk over to the couch and pat on the seat as he says "right here". He's not happy until everyone is in their assigned seats. :) He also LOVES tea and he is not afraid to tell you when that is what he wants. "Tea, tea, tea". He is also drinking through a straw now, but he wants nothing to do with a sippy cup. I think its funny how he decided to skip that step...lol

Sean's not up to much just working, working and more working. He sleeps as much as he can and whenever he can.

Sean's B-day, Turnovers & 2nd Anniversary

Well the 23rd was Seans 21st birthday. We didn’t have a big party because he wants to save money to go to a UFC fight in September, but he did go out with his mom the night of.

This week has been beyond hectic. Our new manager Diane started at Ashland on the 28th. We threw her right in to our biggest turnover of the year. The 30th consisted of checking everybody out of their apartments and the 31st was organizing all of the cleaners and painters. Then Sunday was move in day. Anyway it was crazy I had to work all weekend and I had to skip lunch a couple of times great fun. It was busy and stressful but I keep telling myself I get a big paycheck this time. :)

Yesterday was my and Sean’s 2nd Anniversary. I took off, I thought after the big weekend I deserved one day off. We spent the day at home and then we went to Ruby Tuesdays for dinner, while my parents watched Gabe.

Gabe is doing good. He is getting so big. He is wanting less to do with mommy :( but he is so cute when he walks all over the house. His new thing is throwing away his diapers, after you change him. We have also been working on the parts of the face he knows where his eyes, nose, mouth, and ears are. He also knows where his belly is and sometimes his toes (when he feels like it). :)

The 4th and the MMR

OK well I haven't been on here in forever, I guess it really is time for an update.

Lets see on the 4th we had a birthday party with the Kite family and then Gabe and I went to see the fireworks while Sean had to go to work. We sat closer this year than we did last year so the fireworks were louder. Gabe did OK though he drank his bottle and watched them.

I had to take Gabe to the allergist last week to get his MMR shot which if you don't know is something that most people have done at the pediatricians office but because of Gabe's allergy to eggs they wanted to take him to the allergist to have this done. We had to start by testing him on his arm to see if it gives him a reaction. they tested him with egg whites and with the vaccine. He is definitely allergic to eggs but the vaccine didn't have a reaction so they gave him half of the shot in one leg and waited 15 min and then did the same thing to the other leg. He did just fine with the shot but lets just say he doesn't like the nurse at all. When she would just poke her head in the room to check on us he would scream. Any way I'm just glad that he could get the shot because I don't want any chance of him getting measles or mumps or anything.

That is really all that has happened over the last two weeks. This Saturday we are going to big surf, so that should be tons of fun Gabe just loves the water.

Manager for a Month

Well Verna has officially retired now and I guess I'm the new manager atleast for this month until Diane comes in to learn the ropes and take over. I do like being in charge but I don't know that I could do this all year long. I've been on my own for two days now and its crazy busy. I guess it's not all just the regular work though because I am reorganizing some things around the office as well as getting rid of some of the old stuff.

We went to see twilight on Wednesday which of course was awsome :) I'm not sure if I keep comming back for the story or if its just Jacob with out his shirt. lol. Maybe it's a little of both. :)

Well that really is all that has happened this week. It doesn't seem like much but it has been busy. I'm excited about the 4th being right around the corner should make for a fun weekend. :)

Sugarland & Allergies

There have really only been two big things that have happened this week, everything else has been pretty ordinary. Thursday's surgery was canceled again. Which I guess is one of the ordinary things going on now.

On Friday We went to KC to the Sugarland concert. Luke Bryan and Danny Gokey were also there. It was an awsome concert and afterward I got to meet Danny Gokey. He signed Autographs and took pictures, I of course got both. :) We stayed in a hotel close by so we could walk there and back. The hotel was very nice we got a King bed which not only was huge but really comphy and had 6 pillows :) I didn't want to get out of it.

Yesterday we braved the wheat. The allergist told us to try giving it to him to make sure that the test was right and that he really was allergic to it. Well he was allergic, just like I expected. He ended up puking for quite some time. My poor little boy was not happy at all. Anyway I'm not to happy with the doctor right now, and she wants us to try Oat now. I am not giving him anything else for atleast a couple weeks. My baby doesn't disurve this punishment.

My little mover

Ok just wanted to give everyone a little update about whats going on. Gabe's surgery has been pushed back again. The Ins comp isn't sure if they are going to approve the surgery or not something about being a preexisting condition which is such crap. Any way I have no idea when the surgery is going to happen and if I am going to have to pay for it or not. Ahh stress how I hate you so.

On a happier note my baby boy walked yesterday and this morning :) I am so proud of my little mover. He still prefers to crawl at this point but he is so proud of himself when he makes it across the floor. I figure by the end of the week I wont be able to keep an eye on him with out running down the hall. lol So mark it in your calenders 6/15/10 Gabriel Alexander can walk :)

My 21st Birthday :)

This has been one crazy week. On Saturday we went to see Quinton's Football game (they kicked butt), and I took lots of pictures.

Abbi and I went to dinner with Daniel on Monday, I hadn't seen him in like 3 years so it was really nice to get to see him (I think he was hiding from me, lol).

June 8th was a big day in baby world. Avery was born and Abbi found out she was having a girl.

My birthday was on Friday. I am finally 21. I cleaned all day and went to go see Claire and Avery after lunch. Then we had the BBQ that evening It was really nice to have all of our friends over. On Sunday I had a family birthday party at my parents.

We were definitely busy busy busy. This next week is going to be that way too. It's time for Gabe's surgery AGAIN on Thursday. Sean and I are going to KC for a concert on Friday night and will be back on Saturday. Oh and Fathers Day is Sunday and Sean is very excited :)

"Office"

Ok so last night I sat down and really worked on the "office" I don't know if I will ever really have a better name for it. I got a lot done and took a lot of stuff out and put it in the shed and I also threw a lot of stuff away. The most exciting part of it was that I found some jewelery that I have been looking for since I moved in which was like 3 years ago!!! I was so happy. :) Just last week I put on a shirt and went I really wish I knew where that necklace was it would be perfect. And so I wore it today :) I also found of course lots of child hood memories which was great and kinda emotional. Anyway it is shaping up and almost looks like a normal room :) There is now a bed in there, as well as a TV so we are getting close.

I was very excited about some of my finds and just had to share.

:) :) :) :)

The begining of a new month

Ok I am at Ashland and if you don't know already that is the apartment complex that I work at and not the town. It is turnover time and everyone has worked all weekend. It has been very busy with people moving out and others rushing to get in. I have been taking on more of the load this time around because our current Apartment manager is retiring on June 30th and I have to take over until we get someone new in here. I have been constantly running and this morning has been my first calm time in what seems like a week. I am off tomorrow because in Apartment world Memorial day is not a day off being the last day of the month and all so my boss has made it a floating holiday for us to take when we wish.

I am getting a little farther with the "office". I have cleaned up some of the stuff, so the middle of the floor is clean(which I feel is a big accomplishment). I have laid a rug in there so it looks like a room now and I also have a mattress for in there it just hasn't quite made it that far yet. Things are starting to shape up :)

My 21st b-day is on June 11th and now that it is less than 2 weeks away it almost feels close. We are having a BBQ at my house for some friends on my birthday which I'm excited about.

That's about it for now but it sure seems like a lot.

New Shed and the Office

My dad finished my shed on sunday and I imediately started to put stuff in it. I only had some of the stuff ready to move, so this weekend I get to work on cleaning the office. Which I plan on turning into a guest room at some point soon, or maybe a room for Sean, or a little bit of both.

I finished putting up graduation pics on facebook and this one is my favorite of the three of us :)

Gabe had a doc apt on tuesday they said that he is getting in some of his lower molars. Gabe is now 30-1/2" tall and 22lb12oz.

We went to Salisbury on saturday for laurens bday we didn't get to stay as long as we would have liked but it was a good time.

I got to go shopping with my graduation money and then my sweet little family went bowling. It was a really fun time and Sean won one game and I won the other.

It has been a fun week :)

Graduation

Ok Thursday, it was pretty calm during the day. We went to my Graduation which was very exciting, and I have posted some of the pictures on face book and I will do more later.

I got a call around noon from the doctors office that said that our insurance needs a month to approve the surgery so it is now postponed till June 17 which is a Thursday. I guess it could have been worse they normally have to schedule us a few months down the road and this time the got us in only one month away. I didn't have to get up early this morning so I guess thats an up side.

Sean's surgery

Ok well I thought I might just update this week on a day-by-day basis. So today we had to get up nice and early and I dropped off Gabe with my mom. I then took Sean to the oral surgeon at 7:45am. When he was done I sent him home with my mom while Gabe and I went to his pre-op appointment. The Urologist said that everything looks good for surgery. Which I'm glad because we cant keep pushing this thing back. Anyway we are supposed to be at the hospital at 6:00am so that he can have his surgery at 7:00am. We are going to have another early morning this week only this one is going to be even earlier.

Sean is doing really good after his surgery. He has pretty much just been sleeping all day. He has had some pudding to eat when he was up and I have been going in periodically to check on him and give him all of his pills.

Other wise today has been about catching up on TV shows and laundry. It has been really nice to just hang out at home with my boys :)

Hurry up and relax

This week was pretty calm which was nice. I finished finals on Monday and worked the rest of the week. We hung out with some friends on Thursday, and on Sunday we went to my parents for the season finale of survivor.

That really is everything for the week, now this week is going to be crazy with surgeries and stuff so be prepared for next weeks update. :)

Baby Shower and Mothers Day

Well lets see what all has happened this week. During the week it was pretty much business as usual. I went to school like normal. I have finished two classes and have two more small finals on Monday and then I will be done. Even though I only have one day left I still cant believe that it is almost over. Maybe on Tuesday when I don't have to go to class it will finally sink in.

Yesterday which was Saturday, I went to Lowe's with my Daddy to pick up my new shed. It's not put together yet but I have it. We are one step closer to getting that office cleaned out. Gabe and I then went to Claire's baby shower. It was really nice to see her. I got tons of pictures and she got tons of cute little clothes. When we got done I dropped of Gabe with my parents and Sean and I went to Iron Man 2 which was awesome, I really enjoyed it. Oh and last night we watched the UFC pay-per-view.

Today is Mothers day which is always wonderful. we were very busy Sean made me breakfast this morning and then we went to a quadruple birthday party at noon which doubled as a mothers day party. Afterward we went to see Granny Bias and wish her a happy mothers day. Right now we are at home so Sean can catch up on sleep before we go see his mom and he goes to work.

Next week I will be back to work almost full time, which will be nice and weird all at the same time.

One wild week

Well this week has been kinda hectic. it was another deadline week at work but it seems like that is all the time. School is going good I have just over a week left, my last day is the 10th. I went to MACC yesterday to find out about graduation is the 20th at 6 and I have to be there at 5. I'm really excited about it however that is the crazy week. If you don't remember Sean's oral surgery is on the 19th and I hope that he is going to feel up to going to my graduation just 30 hours after he gets done with surgery and then as soon as I am done enjoying that, Gabe's surgery is on the 21st. It is going to be crazy but I believe in us :)

Gabe had a Doctor Appointment on Thursday morning and one doctor sent us to another. I know that they are just trying to get him to a specialist to fix the problem but it seems like all we do is go to the doctor. Anyway we went to a dermatologist and Gabe is off of oral steroids and on to a stronger cream to rub on his body. We also got a Rx Antihistamine so hopefully this will be the combo we need. The doctor said that he might always have dry skin but the flakiness should go away with time, but hes still trying to control it now.

Gabe has also been wheezing lately so the first doctor gave us a Rx for some medicines and a portable nebulizer so we have used it a couple of times so far and I think it's helping I want to get it under control so we don't have to rely on it. I feel so bad for my baby I feel like all we do is pump him full of medicine :(

Other than all the doctor visits Gabe seems to be doing really good he is happy and is always learning a new trick to show off. :) Most recently he has learned to climb the stairs and let me tell you he is quick. He is not going down stairs yet which is just fine with me but I'm sure he will want to try soon.

Oh and I almost forgot hanging out with friends. we have been trying to do it more. I went to Abbi's birthday dinner on Sunday and we went to a movie on Wednesday and we saw quite a few friends on Thursday.

This has been one busy week and the coming up week should be crazy too because of school there are going to be lots of finals and papers.

Money, Money, Money, Money

Well Sean went to the dentist yesterday and they said that he is going to need 8 teeth pulled his 4 wisdom teeth and the four molars right next to them. He is also going to need to go back for a cleaning and a root canal. The want to to some other things as well. After he got done at the dentist he went to the oral surgeon and they said that they can take the 8 out on wed May 19. after in insurance we are still going to owe them $1025. Gabe is supposed to have his circumcision redone on May 21st and its supposed to be $6000-7000 before insurance takes care of part of it but either way it is going to be a large chunk of change. Oh and don't forget about the shed we are getting. which is about $1000 itself.

It all needs to be done and its all gonna cost, so I'm a little stressed at the moment. I think I have a plan but I'm going to be in debt no matter which way you look at it. It's just kinda sad because we just got the car paid off and we weren't in debt for a whole 2 months. Oh well I know it will be fine I was just enjoying being debt free.

My toddler

Well this week baby center says that the push and pull of independence will have Gabe and I confused. It's kind of funny because just over the last couple of days Gabe has been very clingy but then of course has his moments that he wants to play by himself and just have mommy leave him alone. I feel like he is right on track and some how reads my update for the week before I get to.

He is getting so big its just crazy to me when he stands up. I know he will be walking soon and I will be so proud but I'm just not sure if mommy is ready yet even if Gabe is. I guess that this is something that I am just going to have to get used to.

The 15th

Well the 15th was crazy busy. First thing at 9am Sean took Gabe to the doctor and we got a whole new list of things to give him and put on him in hopes to make his rash better and keep them that way. In addition to that I did payroll all day which is normal for Thursday but this time instead of just doing store 3 and 4 I did all 4 of them, while my mom and everyone else was in Tax mode. I was really proud of myself because I got all of the payrolls done with time to spare and even made it to class on time.

I don't think that anybody worked on Friday I think we all deserved a break and a mini celebration for the end of tax season. I did have class for a couple of hours but otherwise it was a pretty relaxing day. I got my hair cut which is going to make taking care of it a lot easier, but I always have a little bit of a hard time adjusting to my new look when I switch it up.

I spent today with my boys which was really nice and I have been totally amazed all day that I still have another day of weekend left. I don't have much planned for tomorrow other than watching "2012". I don't really want to watch it and never had plans to but it's homework for a class so woo-hoo.

Oh and I almost forgot Pollen UGH I have been taking allergy pills and putting allergy eye drops in my eyes and I am still not doing so well. I cant wait for it to rain and hopefully wash away the pollen in the air. I need to feel better and soon please.

Shed

Hello all, this has pretty much been just another week. School is going as usual, but I did get my graduation packet turned in yesterday so thats a step in the right direction. I can't wait for this symester to be over. If you don't already know I work for an accountant and the 15th is in two days so we are busy busy busy. On top of that Gabe, Sean, Mom and I all have a cold and are very tired of it. UGH.

If you remember my little rant about not having enough space at my house then this will make since. Sean and I are thinking about getting a shed we started looking yesterday and are trying to get prepared for the expense of it all. Neither of us can handle the "office" being like it is now. We need a cute little shed to put all of our seasonal stuff in. You know so we can actually have a room that is USABLE! It's driving both of us nuts, but buying a shed isn't something you just decide in an hour we actually have to think about it. It is a good chunk of change.

Well that is our main issue at the moment, that and that we are sick and tired of being sick and tired. Every day this week I have woken up thinking that it is Saturday (just dreaming I guess).

Oh and we went to a pancake breakfast on Saturday for the Columbia Falcons (Semi Pro football team) Sean's dad is on the team. Go Falcons :) http://columbiafalconsfootball.com/

Easter

Well Easter was great. We started some new traditions this year. :) Gabe doesn't understand it yet but I think he had a good time. We took Gabe to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday at the Links. We were a little late but he did get some eggs. On Sunday we dyed eggs. which was fun for the big people, It was like going back in time to when I was little.

Sunday was my mommy's birthday too, so of course we had to go visit and we got to go out to dinner. :) There was also a party for her on Saturday so it was a very fun filled and busy weekend.

ZOO

Well we had a great time at the Zoo. It was a very tiring day but so much fun. Gabe really enjoyed it especially the penguins and hippos because of how close they were to us :) I think everybody really had a good time. Sean's idea for a road trip was an excellent idea.

I took Gabe to the doctor on Monday and the medicine they put him on is really helping the breakouts that he is having. His face already looks better and it's only day two of nine for the medicine. We are so very excited.

I don't have school this Thursday and Friday so it's like an extra mini spring break. :) I think it's pretty cool.

Not much else goin on this week. Talk to you later. :)

Stressed but glass half full

Well lately I just feel like our family is to big for the little space that we have. I love my house but we just have to much stuff. My office if you can even call it that anymore has become more of a storage unit. we are just so crowded. Toys constantly take over the space that we do have in the living room and there is tripping and stepping on things constantly. I feel like I need one living area to have toys and another for relaxing because with the mess that my sweet little boy creates you can not relax. In addition to that Sean kicked me out of the shower yesterday morning so that Gabe could take a bath, I was most definitely not finished and kind of aggravated. We do so badly need another bathroom.

I love the idea of buying a home for us but I also fully realize that we do not have the extra money laying around for a house payment every month. So at the moment we are still cramped, but I love my boys and we will be just fine.

On a separate note I went back to school this week and I really am not to thrilled about any of it. Spring break is just a teaser for summer. The school tries to make us think that it's for us but really its just a trick that they are playing on us. I want it to be may so badly I can graduate and enjoy the summer. Homework sucks! Its only 2 months I can so do this! Right?

Work is going as usual there is always something to do, and with it being tax season there is always some extra. I just cant catch up with the pile on my desk no matter how hard I try.

Sean has a weekend on Friday and Saturday and wants to go to the Zoo. I don't know if we will but it sounds really nice we need to have that opportunity to spend time together. With him working nights we don't get to see each other enough.

I hope we do get the chance to go to the zoo. I'll have to let you know next week. :)

Spring Break

First off I'm sorry it's been so long since the last update. There hasn't been that much going on. School hasn't been very exciting and Sean and I are still working as usual.

Monday was the first official day of my spring break so I spent it w/ Gabe so Sean could get some rest. We went to the mall and hung out for a few hours. Now of course I cant go to the mall and not stop at Maurice's, so now I've got 4 new shirts an necklace a pair of earrings and a pair of purple shoes. Oh and 20% off coupons for later :) There is a reason I love Maurice's!!!

Well it was back to work on Tuesday :( but I guess I have to pay for my shopping trips some how. lol

Spring break isn't all fun and games 3 of my 4 teachers gave me homework. What kind of crap is that?! I think the teacher that didn't give me homework put it best when she said "It's called a BREAK for a REASON! Do not pick up your book do not read do not to anything related to my class" YAY!! at least I have 1 normal teacher :)

Beautiful

Well this week hasn't been great but it is getting better. Sean, Gabe and I are still sick but I think that we are starting to improve. Gabe went to the doctor yesterday because we thought that he had a cold, like the rest of us, and found out that he has a slight ear infection. He is now on antibiotics and already proving that they are working.

My Grandpa Kite is now back at home and doing much better. Where he was he couldn't get up and walk and now that he is at home he does. I'm glad we got him back where he belongs. :)

I'm also excited that it is B-e-a-u-tiful outside. I mean hello it 60 degrees out there and it's Friday, so perfect. :)

My daddy's birthday is tomorrow. He is gonna be the big 50, but shhhh... it's a secret. :) We are going out to dinner tonight, which is always fun.

Here is to next week being even better and my family getting over our sicknesses.

Grandpa

Well this week has been pretty good overall but we are having some problems with my Grandpa Kite. For almost as long as I can remember my Grandpa has pretty much stayed home all the time. He doesn't go to the store or anywhere else. He is just the happiest that he could be when he is at home.

About a week and a half ago my grandpa fell down on the ice and broke his hip so he went into the hospital after my uncle convinced him that that was what he needed. They told us that his hip is OK because of the type of break that it was can heal on its own. They said that he could have left that night but he wasn't strong enough to walk on it. He and my grandma live alone and she isn't strong enough to help him. So we kept him at the hospital, he was at the University for about a week and they put him on all kinds of drugs. Anyway I guess they considered him hostile (I would be too if no one would let me walk to the bathroom by my self and kept me strapped to the chair and wouldn't let me go home).

We had to transfer him to Moberly because that was the only place that was willing to take him while he was considered hostile. He really doesn't like it there, and still talks about going home all the time. His mind has been slowly going for quite a while and he just doesn't understand what is going on.

I am really worried about him I think that the drugs are making him worse. He is much more pleasant when he is off them and when he is at home. I think that it would be best if we just took him home. He isn't eating either he says that if he goes home then he will eat. I don't know I guess somebody said that he cant leave until he starts eating but shouldn't we have control over when we take him out? I mean it was my grandmas decision to put him in temporarily and it should be hers to take him out.

Anyway I'm worried and its bothering me how he is acting its just not my grandpa. I needed to get this off my chest. Thanks for listening.

KABOOM!!

Well we have been on a roller coaster lately. I seriously thought I was going to explode there for awhile. Gabe had been sick and wasn't holding down any food and we couldn't figure out what was going on. We took him to the doctor and the did some blood tests on him for allergies. Which was good because now we know why he wasn't holding down food, he's pretty much allergic to everything.

Cats
Dogs
Dust
Peanuts & Tree nuts
Potato
Wheat
Beef
Egg whites
Soybean
Milk
Barley
Oat
Rye
Tomato
Malt

In addition to that it seems like everyone I know has been in the hospital. There are like 12 people it's nuts.

Anyway we are doing better now we have put Gabe on rice milk and he seems to be doing very well. Now that we are not poisoning him anymore he is holding down food and his face is clearing up. :)

The big ONE!!!

My little boy turned one on Friday and I have no idea where the year has gone. I can't believe that he is that big. We saw our friends Ronnie and Kirstin and their son Kitryn on Friday and it really amazes me how much of a difference there is in size between the two. I know that Gabe is close to a full year older than Kitryn but I still see him as my baby and he still seems little to me.

It has been a very busy last few days we have already had two parties for him one on Friday and one on Saturday. Now we are going to have a third party tomorrow. He has gotten tons of presents and I just don't know what to do with them all. When Christmas came around we cleaned out his toy box so that all he had were the new ones which filled it right back up but now he is getting even more. We need a bigger house!

Sean and I went to see Valentines Day (the movie) yesterday with our friends Cristy and Moriah. Which was nice because Sean and I don't really get to spend that much time together because he works nights and is always trying to sleep during the day. Plus it's nice to see friends when you don't have to chase your kids all over the place.

It really has been a great week, just a little busy! And tomorrow is no exception Gabe has two doctors appointments. One at 830 and the other at 130 (just routine 1yr stuff). I have a class at 430 and Then he has his party at 6. Hopefully after that our lives will slow down just a little.

Friday, February 5, 2010

AHHHH! PEANUTS!!!

OK well we had to go to the emergency room AGAIN last night. My dad gave Gabe peanut butter and we found out Gabe is allergic to peanuts! His cute little face swelled up. I just keep thinking about all the stuff he can't have, how sad. :( You know only 20% of kids that are allergic to peanuts grow out of it, and tons of stuff is cooked with peanuts or by peanuts and we have to read all sorts of labels. I am not excited about this, and I'm worried about my little man.

Sickness

OK well the past few days have been a little hectic. On Friday Gabe was having some sinus drainage and was having trouble holding down food. This continued until Sunday. Sean went to work Sunday night and Gabe and I went to bed around 10:30. About midnight Gabe woke up screaming and sounded very horse. He was having trouble breathing. I called my dad and had him help me calm Gabe down. After we accomplished this his breathing didn't get any better so we made the decision to take him to the emergency room. I called Sean and he left work and met us there. While at the hospital they gave him 2 breathing treatments (which he hated), 2 x-rays (which he did not want to hold still for), and some prednisone (grape flavored and the only thing he liked at the hospital). By the end of all this it was 6am. He has been diagnosed with croup, which was explained to me as his air way being restricted. The nurse said its like laryngitis for babies.

He is doing better now and has been holding down his food much better than before. Due to him getting sick he now cannot have his surgery on Friday. He will most likely have to wait another 5 weeks or so, which means I don't have to worry yet and we will have to pay for it.

I stayed home with him on Monday and we napped and just laid around. He is doing better now, I just wish he was well. It is no fun having a sick baby.

On a happy note we got Gabe's pictures in on Monday and I picked them up from my Grandma yesterday. They turned out great and I already have them up. :)

Another week and a Surgery

Well not a lot has been going on but I am starting to get worried about Gabe's surgery. I know that it is only supposed to take 30-45min and that it is a safe surgery that they do all the time, however he is my baby boy and I love him so much. He is supposed to go in for his pre-op on Wednesday and we are supposed to find out what time the surgery will be at that time. I will most likely have to miss class due to Gabe being in the hospital and my teacher is just going to have to get over it because my baby boy comes first.

His birthday is getting close too. We are planning the parties and thinking about that always gets me very excited. :)It is so much fun picing out decorations and soon we will get to buy presents. I don't know where we are going to put all the toys we are running out of room as it is from Christmas.

School is going good. I haven't got to much homework so far which is always nice, but I figure that it cant last forever. Having three science classes actually has been surprisingly easier than I had expected it to be. Hopefully this wont change either

Sean is going to have a busy week. He is supposed to work the next seven nights in a row which is stressful. We are trying to have as many people help out with watching Gabe as possible so Sean can sleep so he can make it all the way through.

One Year Pictures!!!

We went to get Gabe's pictures done today. I had a great time! Gabe was very happy and well behaved the entire time. We got lots of great pictures! My little boy is such a ham.

We got the pictures done at JC Penny which was a very nice experience. The lady that took the pictures was very good with Gabe and they took as many pictures as we wanted all for the same price. I went to Sears to get family pictures done when Gabe was just a month or two and it just wasn't as good of an experience.

I am so happy with my pretty pretty pictures of Gabe. There is an album up on Facebook so please take a look and feel free to comment. :)

Pictures and parties

Well not a lot has happened this week. We have just been going to school and work like normal. Monday I didn't have school! Don't you just Love MLK Jr.!! My teacher canceled class today which I think is pretty cool!! :)

The only thing I know that is kind of exciting is that we are getting a picture of Gabe taken on Saturday for his FIRST BIRTHDAY! It will be cool to compare to the profeshional ones that we had taken in the hospital. My plan is to do this every year.

We did go shopping for party supplies on Monday which was tons of fun! I get more excited about it all the time. My little boy is growing up so fast. Here is a pick of the plates (Sean had a little bit of say in the plates. Can you tell?)

One Busy Week

Well this has been one busy week, for all of us in the Scott family. On Monday I started back to school, and it has been crazy. I of course had to find all of my classes which actually wasnt all that bad. The bad part was walking in this crazy weather. All I want is 45 or 50 degrees. It is just too cold for all this crap. The classes themselves arn't to bad either but they did give me homework on the first day. :(

Sean got the call from Hy-vee this morning which was great news! He got the full time position and a raise. He has to go in on Friday morning to make it all official. We are very excited!! :) I am so proud of him. Sean's job at Hy-vee has really been a blessing.

The family as a whole is doing much better. I think we finaly got rid of this stupid sickness. The trick now is to keep us all healthy. This is always a goal but with Gabe's surgery on February 5th it is really important that he not get sick.

Gabe's birthday is in just a little over four weeks and I am very excited about having a party for him. My plan at the moment is to go shopping this weekend and see what the party stores have. I might buy some stuff but I'm really just looking. The plan at the moment is to have three parties because I really dont have a place that is big enough for all three groups to get together. I would do it at a park but in February that is just not practical. The good thing about having three parties is that we can have different themes. I'm really excited I mean hello it is his first birthday.

Wednesday, January 6, 2010

Hy-Vee

Well Sean has a job interview tomorrow at 10am for a full-time position. There is only one position and there are five guys that applied for it. His manager did recomend him for it so hopefully he will get it. If not he can always apply for full-time when the next store opens on conley which is a little closer to home.

I'm very proud of him either way, he is doing a great job and his bosses have noticed!

I'll let you know how everything goes. :)

Welcome!

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for visiting. I decided that I needed a way to tell everyone what was going on in our lives so thanks to Claire creating one I decided that a blog sounded like a good way to do so.

Well Sean just got a new job back in November at Hy-vee (the new one on Nifong). He works nights as a stocker and attempts to watch gabe during the day. He's having a hard time with the transition because of the lack of sleep. He normaly does better on weekends when I am home to stay with Gabe.

I am going to school full time starting on Monday January 11th. I have a pretty full load im taking Zoology, General Astronomy, Atmospheric Science and American Lit. This will be my last symester at MACC and then I will be done with my AA degree. I then plan to go to Columbia College and take 8 week classes one at a time so I have more time at home. I also work during the day.

Gabe is doing good hes just getting over a cold which he has passed on to the whole family. He has to go in for sergery on February 5th (he has some adhesions on his circumsicion that need to be fixed). The doctors say that it isn't that big of a deal. He does have to have anistesia but other than that it is only supposed to take 30 to 45 min and then we can take him home. :)

Gabe's Birthday is February 12th and we are going to have a party at our house. We are very excited that our little boy is turning 1 and cant believe it at the same time. We will be sending out invites so don't forget to look for your's. :)

Overall we are doing well we just wish that we had more time to spend with friends.

I am going to try to keep this thing up to date, I just hope I don't get to busy.
